Selecting a different outgoing call number when making a call
Connected phones automatically make calls using a specific number that can be defined in the FRITZ!Box.
Regardless of the settings in the FRITZ!Box, you can also make individual calls using a different phone number. To do so, before you make the call, on the phone you can define an outgoing call number that will be used to make the call. The phone number settings and dialling rules in the FRITZ!Box are then suspended for this call.
Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.
1 Changing the outgoing call number with key commands
- Click on 'Telephony' in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
- Click on 'Phone Numbers' in the 'Telephony' menu.
- Make note of the key command displayed in the 'Preselection' column for the phone number you want to use for your next outgoing call.
Example:
*122# for your second phone number - Enter the key command + phone number.
Example:
You want to call the number 1234 using your second phone number. Dial *122#1234.
