Using geofencing with FRITZ!App Smart Home
Geofencing allows you to automatically switch your smart home devices based on your location. All you need is a smartphone with FRITZ!App Smart Home. In the app, you can define geographical zones that apply certain templates, scenes or routines when you enter or leave them.
Note:Geographical zones can be transmitted to the FRITZ!Box and used as triggers for routines.
For example, your radiator automatically starts to heat and the Wi-Fi network is enabled when you enter a zone around your home. Or when you leave your home, all smart home devices are automatically turned off to save energy.
Requirements / Restrictions
- iOS 17.0 or later or Android 10.0 or later is installed on the smartphone or tablet.
- Location access must be permanently active for FRITZ!App Smart Home in the settings of your smartphone or tablet.
