Entering landline numbers in FRITZ!Box

If the FRITZ!Box is connected to an old landline (analogue or ISDN), you can configure your landline phone numbers in the FRITZ!Box. The numbers you configure can be assigned to phones and used for convenience features.

Old landline connections use the traditional copper cable network and have now been largely phased out in Germany.

Nowadays, the term 'landline' often refers to IP-based telephony (VoIP) via an internet connection. Configure your phone number for IP-based telephony in the FRITZ!Box as internet phone numbers: Configuring internet phone numbers in FRITZ!Box.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box.
