Loading the factory settings of FRITZ!DECT 500

If you want to completely disconnect the LED light FRITZ!DECT 500 from a FRITZ!Box or if errors occur during registration, you can load the factory settings of the LED light.

1 Deregistering the LED light

  1. Click on 'Smart Home' in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click on 'Devices and Groups' in the 'Smart Home' menu.
  3. Click on the 'Delete Device' button.
  4. Click on the (Delete) button next to the respective device.
  5. Click on the 'Finished' button.

2 Loading the factory settings of the LED light

The following steps are only necessary if the LED light does not glow red after being deregistered or if the LED light is not displayed in the FRITZ!Box user interface:

  1. Use the light switch to turn off the LED light for 5 seconds.
  2. Use the light switch to turn off the LED light for 1 second.
  3. Repeat both of these steps 4 more times.

  4. Turn the lamp off and then on again.
  5. When the LED light flashes green and then glows red continuously, the factory settings have finished loading and the LED light is indicating that it is ready to be registered.
